ABENI FOUNDATION currently supports 160 Orphans, Street Children and Children in need through ABENI Village by providing them with housing, education, heath care and social services. We are bringing hope to these children and adolescents that have found themselves in despairing situations, like millions of orphans across Africa, they are living in orphanages with little hope for the future. In many cases, they have lost both parents and relative to diseases that are not fatal in Western societies. These children are the innocent victims of the economical, social and financial inequalities felt throughout Africa. Chances are the children that come to our community at ABENI village having beaten the odds of survival more than once. Most come in search of help to reinstate their sense of pride and human dignity and with your help, we set out to better their lives and give them a fair second chance at what most of us would consider "normal"; to grow up peacefully with enough to eat, the right to education and health care in order to become a self reliant, functional part of society.
